DJ-6
DJ Jeeps were referred to as Dispatcher jeeps, hence the ‘D’ in the prefix. The ‘6’ suffix corresponds to the CJ-6 Universal, which was the base model for the DJ-6. The DJ-6 was essentially a 2-wheel drive version of the CJ-6 Universal, which was less expensive, and it was marketed as a recreational vehicle to the general public.
