CJ-2A

The CJ-2A was the first full-production civilian jeep, dubbed the 'Universal Jeep' by Willys. Just like the CJ-2 Agrijeep before it, the CJ-2A was intended for farming and industrial applications. One major distinction of the CJ-2A is the 7-slot grille. Willys couldn't use the 9-slot design from the Willys MB and the CJ-2 Agrijeep because Ford owned the rights, so they opted for a 7-slot design instead. These seven slots would go on to be an iconic feature of the jeep, and they're still featured today.
